Streaming in the Deep Sea
Every few years, my husband gets the itch to update the graphics package for his Twitch channel. He streams mostly escape from Tarkov, but a lot of his persona is inspired by his love of salt water inhabitants and aquariums.
With that in mind, I created a new portrait of him with the goal of it being a little more evergreen, since he also changes his hairstyle frequently. We landed on the concept of a skull with gaming headphones, fallen into the deep sea with corals and other creatures growing on and around it. Then we adjusted the rest of his graphics to match this new theme.

Initial sketches for the portrait. We knew we wanted the skull motif, but experimented with what types of creatures would be growing out of it and what angle should it be drawn at. My husband also writes, hence one idea of the skull resting on a book.
