Wedding

Wedding monogram with our initials. The “R” gives a foundation while the “M” covers and protects.
Because when you’re a graphic designer getting married,
this is just what happens.
My husband Matt and I got married as close as possible to Halloween night in 2016. We started dating on Halloween, so the holiday has always had special meaning to us. We knew that we wanted the wedding festivities to be elegantly spooky. Poe-inspired, black lace, dripping candle wax, reception in a haunted castle, the works. We are lucky enough to have gotten above and beyond what we hoped for, making the day extraordinarily special.
Initial sketches of the monogram.

And because I am who I am, I made several mood boards for this wedding.
At the reception, we asked guests to use my Grandmother Josie’s typewriter to leave us some love notes.
